Aprox 34 days to go...

Its been nearly two years since photography became my primary interest and almost a year since i started to take my hobby more seriously. I'd like to think my work has evolved in that time.

My current camera has been wonderful. Its only a little 6mp Panasonic Lumix, designed for holidays and family albums ect but its served me well. It can take some stunning pictures concidering its only a little digital camera, i've spent many snap happy mornings with it in all seasons without so much as a hiccup from it.

I love my little Lumix but it just won't get me a career in professional photography and so i am stepping up into the realm of DSLR.

I have spent many years drooling over the new advances in digital photography and how i can't afford them... A lot of the jobs i'm applying for these days require you to provide your own kit or at least be able to opperate DSLRs confidently... as you can imagine, this was quite a set back for me...

...until recently.

Thanks to the wonders we call catalogues, i can now afford to purchase one of these magical items! It'll be a Canon, i've always favoured Canon over Nikon (even my old SLR is a Canon ^_^) and they currently have a twin lense deal on the 400D.

Why the 400D you ask? Well, when it comes to DSLR i'm a n00b and the 400D has been rated as one of the best camera's to start out on. Plus it has a smaller frame than most DSLR's and i have small hands so it'll be easier for me to use. PLUS the extra 55mm - 200mm lense kinda sealed the deal for me.

Bad news is it's out of sock atm... so i have to wait five weeks before i can play with it
